The Orri is located at the foot of the Cambre d'Aze mountain, at an elevation of 1550 meters above sea level. It is set in the tiny town of Planès, 5 kms from Mont Louis and from the Col de la Perche.

Planès is easily accessible by highway from Toulouse via the Puymorens tunnel (3 hours), from Barcelona via the Cadí Tunnel (2.5 hours), or from Perpignan on highway N116 (1.5 hours).
The town is located at the end of local highway D32.

It's possible to come to Planès by train. The Planès station is on the Yellow Train line which connects Villefranche de Conflent (and Perpignan) with La Tour de Carol (and Toulouse or Barcelona). Passengers on the Yellow Train must ask the conductor to stop at the Planès station. Trains only make this optional stop upon the request of train riders. To get to the town from the station, follow the trail up the valley for about 20 minutes.

From the Mont Louis bus stop, you can walk to the Orri. Go down the hill to La Cabanasse and from this village, either follow the GR10 (3 kms, 30 minutes) or the local highway D-32 (5 kms, 50 minutes) to Planès. You can also take a taxi ((Mont Louis Taxi, tel. +33 (0)468041674; +33(0)681137813).

The Orri de Planès is located in the upper part of the town, just above the group of houses called Cases del Mitg (houses in the middle), opposite the cheese farm and the church.
